On Wednesday, March 29, you’ll have a chance to do good simply by having lunch or dinner. While all Jersey Mike’s locations have been making charity donations all month long as part of the company-wide “Month of Giving“, on Wednesday, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to charity.

Jim Pond, who grew up in Verona, is the owner of the Jersey Mike’s franchise in West Orange, which is located in the same shopping plaza as Whole Foods, and he has chosen “Sean’s Pals” as his charity. This is a fundraising team for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF); Sean Squires, one of Pond’s employees, is battling the currently incurable disease, which damages the lungs and digestive system.

In 2016, the New Jersey-area Jersey Mike’’s locations raised more than $240,000 for the “Month of Giving” campaign. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’’s has raised more than $20 million for local charities and has distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. Last year, the nationwide initiative raised more than $4 million for local charities.
